2011 Summer Riding Day Camp
For Children ages six and older, Beginners through Intermediates
Riders will have 1 hour of private riding instruction daily and will care for and groom their lesson horse for the week. Young riders will get a basic foundation of horsemanship, English equitation, and general horse care. Intermediate riders will have opportunity to go on group trail rides. All riders will be able to participate in ‘in-house’ horse show on last camp day. There will be various clinics given by local breeders, trainers, farriers and/or equine veterinarians for each session.
AVAILABLE DATES:
Session I, June 27th – July 1st
Session II, July 18th-22nd
Session III, August 8th-12th
Session IV, T.B.D.
Camp begins each day at 9:00am, and ends each day at 3:00pm
Early Drop off or Late Pick-up is available on request.
There is a $25.00 fee for this service.
Riders should arrive at stable in jodhpurs and riding boots.
Riders should bring a pair of shorts to change into after riding.
Riders should also bring a good, healthy lunch. (Drinks and bottled water provided)
If rain is likely, please bring a raincoat.
Approved helmets and chaps are provided.

$280 per week
$250 per week for current Yorktown Stable’s Riders
$55 per day
